Happy Anniversary, Mariah and Nick!

Mariah and Nick will be celebrating their first wedding anniversary tonight at the Moon Nightclub at the Palms resort in Las Vegas, NV. The celebrations are set to start at 10:30pm and last through the night! Here is a photo of the happy couple from their wedding day one year ago.

Mariah and Nick's New House in L.A.!

The Real Estalker reports that Mariah and Nick have apparently closed on a Bel Air property (pictured) earlier this month for an as yet undisclosed sum of money. Seller of the property has been named as Grammy-winning music engineer/producer Allen Sides.

'Precious' to Play at Cannes Film Festival

Lee Daniels’ film Precious starring Mo’Nique, Lenny Kravitz and Mariah Carey has been selected to play at the 2009 Cannes Festival and will be vying for the prestigious “Un Certain Regard” Prize. Variety reports that aside from this year's opening film, Pixar 3-D toon “Up,” the only other U.S. picture in the Official Selection is Lee Daniels’ multi-prizewinner, “Precious,” in Un Certain Regard.

The Cannes film festival takes place between May 13 to May 24, 2009.

Mariah & Nick to Celebrate Wedding Anniversary in Vegas

Can you believe it's been nearly a year since Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon stunned everyone with their surprise wedding?

The two plan to celebrate their one-year anniversary with a party in Las Vegas on April 30. A source just slipped me a copy of their invitation, which is gold and features white script lettering.

Festivities kick off at 11p.m. and go "until Dawn" at the Palms' Moon nightclub, according to the invite. Dress code? "Hot!"

No word on whether Ms. Mariah will be performing on the big night.

To the left is a photo of Cha-Cha, formerly known as Allie, who was purchased by Nick for Mariah's birthday.

A Jack Russell Terrier breed, Cha-Cha born on January 14, 2009, is all-white with tan markings on her head and has a smooth coat. She will be approximately 11" to 13" at the shoulder and 11 to 13 lbs. when grown.

Inside Mariah Carey's Romantic Birthday Dinner

Continuing their tradition of taking lavish vacations together, Nick Cannon whisked his wife of almost one year, Mariah Carey, away to Barbados via private jet last Wednesday to celebrate her 39th.

On the day of her birthday, Cannon pulled off a private, 11-person dinner party at Barbados' ritzy Wispers on the Bay restaurant Friday night, filling the restaurant with hundreds of pink and lavender-hued balloons. The affectionate couple and their friends shared laughs and bottles of Dom Perignon, along with Carey's favorite dessert – yellow cake with chocolate frosting flown in from New York – while a live band played.

For her main course, the birthday girl noshed on salmon with a cranberry and vodka white wine butter sauce, sautéed asparagus, and lemon scented herbal rice, while other guests enjoyed lamb and angus beef with horseradish cream and tomato duxelle.

"Because she's been working extremely hard for the past few months recording new music for the album, it was important to Nick that the trip be a very relaxing one, where Mariah and her friends could truly enjoy themselves," says a source, noting Cannon wanted to plan "the most romantic and beautiful vacation possible" to celebrate Carey's 39th "anniversary."

Following the nearly four-hour fete, "We watched them stroll down to the beach for a romantic walk," says a waiter from the restaurant. "They were very playful and affectionate the entire time ... and very down to earth and extremely gracious to all of the staff."

The day before the dinner, the couple, who rented a home on the island during their stay, were spotted (and photographed) affectionately frolicking on the beach in Barbados.

They left for Miami Saturday morning where Nick hosted a party in Coconut Grove, Florida.
