Precious Wins at BET Awards

At last night's BET Awards held at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, CA, prominent African American entertainers including actors, musicians, and athletes were honored. The critically-acclaimed film Precious: Based on the Novel 'Push' by Sapphire, which stars Gabourey Sidibe, Mo'Nique and Mariah Carey, won the Best Movie award, besting nominees Michael Jackson's This Is It, Avatar, Law Abiding Citizen, and The Blindside. Mo'Nique took home the Best Actress award for her outstanding performance in Precious.
